Due to the area’s rich cultural and migratory history, if you visit Hackney you’ll be able to try foods from all around the world. Play especial attention to the popularity of foods linked to Hackney's cultural heritage and diversity.

Hearth Bakery's amazing selection of sweet treats! Hackney Bridge: Located in a warehouse along the lea river, highlighting the rich industrial history of the area, Hackney Bridge is home food vendors with international cuisines, bars, cafes, local independent retailers, workspaces studios and event spaces This multipurpose space, however, like many other newer businesses, have arguably brought gentrification and high prices to the area, something that members of the local community have mixed feelings about. This site actually has connections with the chocolate corporation Cadbury. Founded by Clarke, Nickolls & Coombs, The Clarnico Sweet Factory combines the name of its founders, later becoming the largest sugar confectionery in Britain until it was acquired by Trebor and closed in 1973, with Cadbury later buying Trebor in 1989. The Factory originated from Shoreditch, but settled on Waterden Road in 1897, which is the current location of Hackney Bridge.
Hearth Bakery: This bakery with a farm to table approach by working with local producers, farmers and millers stands out from the ever growing chain bakeries that keep plaguing neighbourhoods around London. Their baked goods and bread are freshly made every day and we could not recommend this place enough!
The Pho Mile: Although not a restaurant, Kingsland Road, also referred to as "the Pho Mile" is home to dozens of Vietnamese restaurants, were you can enjoy this amazing cousine as a result of the migratory wave of Vietnamese refugees into the United Kingdom due to the Vietnam War. Most of these refugees specifically settleed in Hackney, where they were facilitated housing and jobs by the council
HWK Coffee & Cocktail Bar: Although quite unassuming during the day as it serves as a cafe for the local community, it is not just a place to grab coffee and lunch, but also an event space that occasionally hosts salsa nights, stand-up comedy, and music nights.
